Hi. My name is Terra. My path to success started when I was 35 on October 3, 2008. I went to a seminar about the LAP-BAND® http://www.lapband.com/en/home/ . It was the most exciting surgery I had heard of.
Let me back up SEVERAL years. In high school I was teased often of being the fat girl. I was 5'4" and weighed around 160 to 175 lbs. I was about a size 13 back in the 90s in todays size it is roughly a 8. Ya looking back I was not even close to fat. High school is very judgmental and plays a lot in how we see ourselves unfortunately. In college I struggled with my weight for several years. I met a man and got married. He loved me for me on the inside so I let my outside go to crap. I mean really why did it matter if I got fat? I was going to be married to him forever. Or so I thought. The ignorance bliss of being young I suppose. Needless to say my marriage fell to crap along with my body. Granted not because of my body for other unimportant reasons. After my divorce I continued to gain weight. My highest weight was a whopping 378 pounds. I tried everything and I mean everything to try to loose it. I was too lazy and uncomfortable though at that point. My body was falling apart along with my health. My children were the ones suffering for it sadly. It was too difficult for me to play or do anything fun with them aside sit around and watch TV and play video games. Ok so enough of that poor pity me crap........

Im going to post some rather disturbing pictures of me taken just days after my Lap Band surgery.
